The Raconteurs have nabbed a nomination for this year's Country Music Awards. Jack White's side project is a contender in the Musical Event category for its performance with Ricky Skaggs and Ashley Monroe for Consolers of the Lonely's "Old Enough." The tune is up against Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis’ “I Told You So," Lee Ann Womack and George Strait’s “Everything But Quits,” Kenny Chesney and Mac McAnally’s “Down the Road” and Brooks & Dunn and Reba McEntire’s “Cowgirls Don’t Cry."
However, this isn't the first time White has been recognized by the country music community. He previously picked up a best Country Collaboration with Vocals Grammy award in 2005 for "Portland, Oregon," a duet with Loretta Lynn.
This year's CMA Awards will air live on Nov. 11 from Nashville's Sonnet Center. [Rolling Stone]
