The people on the train don't like your music

In what is probably some marketing scheme of a poll, Jet Sleeper, has discovered (big surprise) that London commuters primary source of annoyance is people listening to their Ipods too loudly. After becoming aware of this I finally realized that the cringes of pain I felt on the subway this morning was not a personal hygiene problem, but instead my mind being subject to the loud, yet low quality, rumblings of Eminem's "Lose Yourself" emitted from the iPod earbuds of one of my fellow commuters. Who knew?

The London Paper reports that these harbingers of audial pain rank higher on the irritability meter than people excessively coughing and sneezing, people who read enormous fold-out newspapers and even people who talk obnoxiously loud on their cell phone. Congrats Apple! Another achievement for you. [NME]

I can't stand people who play really loud, tinny music out of their phones. Get some goddamn earplugs!

I always feel sorry for their ears: playing music that loud makes you deaf!

Loud, tinny music is worse than all that other bad stuff by far because it doesn't stop, unless their batteries run out. Three hours a day on the bus makes me want to take scissors and cut their headphone cables.

I always wonder how the person listening can even enjoy that. If your earphones are up so high that I can clearly hear your music from ten feet away on a speeding, rickety train it seems like that would just hurt your ears.

HAHA i am guilty of being one of these people. i love my music, and my hearings already gone down the gutter; but yes i have noticed people will sit next to me and get up like in a minute to walk away. OOPS.
