New York indie buzz band the Pains of Being Pure at Heart are keeping thier buzz, um, buzzing by following up their popular self-titled Slumberland Records CD from earlier in the year with an EP of new songs and single with a non-CD b-side.
The EP will be called “Higher Than the Stars” and hits the streets Sept. 22. It’s slated to come out in 7″, 12″, CD and digital formats and will include the songs “Falling Over,” “Twins,” “Higher Than The Stars” and “103.”
The single, which comes out Sept. 8, is “Come Saturday” from their album with a non-CD b-side called “Side Ponytail.” The group will also start a tour Sept. 5 which will take them across ther country and back (with a stop or two in Canada).
As of this writing, none of the new songs are out on the band’s MySpace page, but “Come Saturday” is.
