Seems like bands are dropping like flies today. Vancouver B.C. natives, The Organ, kept it short and sweet by posting the following message on the band's website:
"We are sad to announce that we're breaking up. We want to thank our friends, fans, and family for all the support you gave to us. Thank you.
Shelby, Jenny, Katie, Debora, and Shmoo."
Formed in 2001, the five-piece released one album--2004's Grab That Gun--and a handful of singles and 7"s during their run. The band had a decent following in Canada, but, for whatever reason, never received the kind of push that other acts got during that whole "Wow, Canada is awesome" stage a couple of years back. Kind of a shame really, they had talent.
