The Octopus Project announces tour, album plans

Austin, TX natives, The Octopus Project, will be hitting the road in February in support of The House of Apples and Eyeballs, the band's collaborative album with Black Moth Super Rainbow. Unfortunately, it's a rather small-scale tour so most of you reading this are going to miss out. For the lucky few however, the dates are as follows:
02-09 Denton, TX - Hailey's
02-10 Lubbock, TX - Jake's Backroom
02-11 Tucson, AZ - Plush
02-12 Phoenix, AZ - Modified Arts
02-13 San Diego, CA - Casbah
02-14 Tijuana - El Foro
02-15 Los Angeles, CA - Safari Sam's
02-16 Francisco, CA - Bottom of the Hill
02-17 Portland, OR - Towne Lounge
02-18 Seattle, WA - Chop Suey
There is good news of a more universal nature however. In February the band will also begin work on it's next album in Seattle. Obviously there's no real details yet, but the band will be working with producer Ryan Hadlock (Stephen Malkmus, Blonde Redhead.) Once something more concrete is announced we'll let you know.
