Embarrasingly enough, I'm going to have to plead ignorance on both these bands before today (even Rolling Stone knew about The Octopus Project, where have I been,) but the new collaborative album between these two groups The House Of Apples And Eyeballs has been blasting out of my stereo all morning. The Octopus Project's sound is described as "ambidextrous equipment failure junk-tronica." In English that essentially ammounts to electronic post-rock. Black Moth Super Rainbow advertise their music as ''"all played and lovingly assembled by real people with real hand,''" in ''"their own lollipop neon folktale world.''" All I know is that this is the most cracked-out pop album I've heard all year and I'm lovin it. Click here for an e-card that streams the entire album and see what I mean.

Totally crazed album that has been in my player for a week. Highly recommended. |

Justin Sheppard's indie cred just got wiped out.
