The New Jersey Electric Daisy Carnival Will Be Restricted To Those 18 And Up

In what is inevitably an effort to curb reports of 15 year old girls suffocating in MDMA comas, New Jersey’s version of commercial-rave’s widely popular Electric Daisy Carnival will be restricted to participants 18 and older. As raves have made their curious resurgence in mainstream viability, so has the fear of club-drugs – it’s given the folks at EDC a pretty nasty PR spat. I suppose this is a step in the right direction, but as long as ecstasy is a taboo it’ll be an uphill battle. There’s occasionally been talk from politicians of banning sponsored raves all-together, which would inevitably send them back to the warehouse with no security or free water or anything.  Just my two cents.
