In an interview with Jam, The National frontman Matt Berninger revealed that he's pretty damn confident about the direction his band is heading in for their next album. He said that he's in love with the music his band mate, Aaron Dessner, had sent over. "I just spent all night listening over and over to some things he sent," Berninger said. "I think they're some of the best things he's ever written."
The only downside to all this: the fact that he then also noted that those songs might get scrapped. "Six months from now we might just throw everything away that we've been working on and start from scratch," Berninger added. "You never know." Well, we'd like to know! [NME]
