The Kills Working on New Album

It has taken nearly five months, but someone in The Kills camp finally disputed a story from June that had Kate Moss, girlfriend of Jamie Hince, destroying some of the band's new songs. According to Alison Mosshart, the story is bogus, and she and Hince are deep into recording album number four, and have plans to finish the album early next year:

"We wrote about six to seven songs each and they're all quite different from another," Mosshart says. "There's really no way to describe them as they are now to where they are going to be. We tend to write all our songs on acoustic guitar first, wherever we are, and then they change like 500 percent by the time they are on the record." Even Mosshart notes the process can be long. "We're always messing around with drum machines and samplers," she says, "but I'm sure Jamie is going to take it to a whole new dimension as he always does."

There's no word on when said album will be out, but Mosshart has plans to record and tour with Dead Weather next year, so it could be a while. [Spinner]
