The Killers Cancel Asian Tour, Going On Indefinite Hiatus

Is there trouble in Sam's Town? Earlier this week The Killers announced that the band will be going on an "indefinite hiatus" following a spring tour so its members could "spend more time with their families." It gets trickier. An official statement has just been released on the band's website claiming that an upcoming tour of Asia has been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances." Previously scheduled dates in Australia are to go on as promised, and the band has committed to making up the scrapped dates in Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo, and Seoul in the near future. Hopefully nothing bad has happened, but this sounds for all the world like the work of a PR team struggling to do damage control amidst a messy breakup. Lead singer Brandon Flowers has been batting away allegations that he's quitting to embark on a solo career for weeks now, which begs the question: which is worse, the existence of The Killers or the impending "adventurous" Brandon Flowers solo record?
