The Horrors' 'Skying' Streaming In Full
The third full-length album by The Horrors is released next week, and the band is offering fans a chance to hear it in full for free over the next week. On first glance it sounds like some of the krautrock tendencies of the prior Primary Colours have been dampened. Instead there’s a switch to the kind of dark pop the Psychedelic Furs hit upon during their peak years, which is an intriguing turn for The Horrors to take. It certainly fits in well with the ’80s homage that's beginning to run rife through the indie rock scene (and elsewhere) as this decade takes shape. Skying will be released on July 11 in the U.K. and Aug. 9 in North America on XL.
