The Hold Steady has added a bonus disc to Stay Positive, due out July 17 from Vagrant Records. The disc, which will only be available with a limited edition of the compact disc, contains the songs “Ask Her for Aderall,” “Cheyenne Sunrise,” and “Two-Handed Handshake.” The vinyl edition has “Ask Her for Aderall,” and there was no announcement of any special goodies with the digital version. Stay Positive, which was leaked early last week and is currently streaming on the band’s Myspace, has elicited positive, but not exultant, reactions from fans. Perhaps this extra disc will add that one track that makes the album a must-have, but making fans buy a compact disc to get them is so, so 1992. [Billboard]
