Via: NME The Futureheads can kiss life in the majors goodbye. 679 Recordings, a Warner owned label, has dropped the British post-punks after releasing the band's first two albums--2004's The Futureheads and this year's News And Tributes--in the UK. While you would think the guys would be at least a little upset, they're putting on a brave face if they are. Speaking to BBC 6 Music, frontman Barry Hyde had the following to say: "I'm over the moon about it to be honest with you, 'cos I feel like we're free now. We weren't happy as a band on that label...It's good to get out of the shackles of being tied down to something. I think it's put us in a very strong position 'cos we're still a band that people like." The band is heading out on a brief UK tour starting this weekend.
