Two years after From Here We Go Sublime, The Field is back with his second LP, Yesterday & Today, out on Kompakt and ANTI- on May 19. The Field (nee, Axel Willner) continues his sample-and-stitch technique on these six tracks, and like his debut, these songs are long, with each one clocking in at over six minutes. In his two year break from recording, Willner toured with LCD Soundsystem and remixed for Thom Yorke, Battles, and Maps (Battles' drummer John Stanier joins The Field on the title track of Yesterday & Today). In case you don't remember it, From Here We Go Sublime was one of the most memorable releases of 2007. The Stockholm-based artist will tour the US and Canada in May and June in support of Yesterday & Today.
