I have a soft spot for The Evens. Their debut was the first album I ever reviewed for Prefix. So I was happy to hear the news that it wasn't going to be a one-off project and that their sophomore album, The Evens Get Evens, is being released November 6.
In the meantime, you can catch the dynamic duo on tour, starting tonight in Pittsburgh. Tickets for all shows are going for the low, low, price of $5 (or less!) so it's safe to say this is one of the bargains of the year. Be advised, The Evens will be the only act performing, so arrive early (the band hits the stage at 8pm) Some of these shows are in pretty far-flung areas within their respective cities, so you might want to click here to get some more information on each venue.
