U2 is a band known for its (sometimes self-righteous) stand on the issues. One issue where the band's guitarist The Edge has recently made his views public is the right of Irish rock stars to bulldoze a significant section of Malibu. The project, which will create five homes characterized by opponents as "McMansions," has already evicted a local archery club and caused some concerns about ruined views. The Edge has yet to offer any comment on the building, which has been approved by the appropriate authorities at every step. It's also unknown whether he plans to keep all of the houses or try to sell them during the one of the worst real estate markets in recent history. If the latter is true, something tells me he might have trouble finding the price that he's looking for. [LA Weekly]
This guy's a dick. I love archery.
I just can't believe he's in it for the money, so I'm betting it's one for each bandmember and one for Letterman ?
