The Day the In-Flight Music Died: Paste Lists Most In-Appropriate Airplane Radio Songs

Paste has issued a list called "Fear of Flying: The Most Inappropriate Songs for In-Flight Radio." Unsurprisingly, most of the titles in the ranking include the word "Crash" (ex: Andrew Bird's "Fiery Crash," Rilo Kiley's "Plane Crash in C," Joe Henry's "Ohio Air Show Plane Crash," Sheryl Crow's "Crash and Burn" and Dave Matthews Band's "Crash").

However, the top spot is reserved for Don McLean's "American Pie." "McLean’s ’70s folk-rock anthem chronicles 'The Day The Music Died.' So let's leave that off the in-flight radio playlist, and for good measure, let’s also skip anything by Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens or The Big Bopper," the post advises. Fair enough, but might we suggest just bringing an iPod? [Paste]
