The Cool Kids Leave Label, Might Get Around To Releasing Album
The buzziest of the buzz bands, The Cool Kids, has announced via Twitter that it has left Chocolate Industries. The duo added that being untethered will give them the chance to "make music without the b.s." It might also allow them to actually release When Fish Ride Bicycles, the album hip-hop has been waiting for going on three years. If nothing else, it robs them of one more excuse for not putting it out. [2dopeboyz]

Unfortunately I feel like the window is closing on the Cool Kids' "buzz." I hope they don't become the next Saigon.
I agree, Wilson, to an extent. They might not be as big in terms of buzz anymore, but ...crap, you're right.
I don't feel like that last mixtape did them any favors, either. Not bad, but kind of bland. I'm hoping that new album kills, but I'm getting more skeptical by the day.
Agreed, mfiander, that wasn't that great, though some tracks are ridiculous. I do hope that their collab'ing with the DD172 cats will help things out.
Saw them live once, I wasn't impressed. Can't stand when dudes rap over their cd playing in the background. So weak.
