The Clash Selling The Olympics Now

    You have to imagine someone, at least in the band’s management, had to okay it, so it’s hard to have punk indignation at this news: The Clash’s seminal “London Calling” is being used in ads for the 2012 London Olympics. It’s basically a advertising exec’s easiest gimme ever, so it’s not surprising that “London Calling” is the song for the Olympics. The ads keep getting knocked off YouTube, but apparently they’re starting to roll out everywhere, so keep your eyes peeled.
