The Chain Gang Of 1974 Releasing ‘Wayward Fire’ June 21

Kamtin Mohager’s third album as the Chain Gang of 1974 comes following several major transitions in the electro-loving Los Angeles resident’s life. For one, Wayward Fire is his first record on a proper label as he released his first two efforts on his own. Also, amidst the recording process, he packed up his things and left Denver for L.A. He also ended a two-year relationship, which apparently served as an inspiration for many of the album’s lyrics. You can get a sample of them on lead single “Undercover.” And, honestly, catchy isn’t really a strong enough term to describe the track. It’s a pulsing, sure-to-be-huge pop gem that should mean big things this year for the Chain Gang of 1974.
