The Boss Could Clear $10 Million for Autobiography

The NY Post ran a story yesterday afternoon that reported that Bruce Springsteen is in the early stages of writing his autobiography, and that book publishers are already fighting over it. How much are they willing to pay for a book written by the guy who compared a woman to a car engine? Between $8 million and $10 million, which is a hell of a lot of clams in this economy. I mean, jeez, I'd write my autobiography for $80 and a burrito if someone was offering. [NY Post]

More than 1,000,000 copies will be sold, and even more people will read the book. Maybe one person would read yours? That's $8, no burrito, and you'd still be getting more per reader.
