Apparently the Page Six rumors were true: Bruce Springsteen is indeed headlining the Super Bowl halftime show in February. I’m guessing he wasn’t brought on for his album of Pete Seeger covers, or anything recorded after 1987, so, like Prince and Tom Petty before him, he’ll be playing to the geezers in attendance and at home (what, Buddy Holly wasn’t available? What, too soon?). [Stereogum]

If the Eagles make the playoffs I think they'd love Bruce Springsteen for all his songs about Philadelphia. |

If the Giants and Jets make the Super Bowl, I think the state of New Jersey will explode.
