The Books Announce Tour Through America

Electronic/folk/??? duo the Books will be touring North America this fall in support of their new album The Way Out, which comes out July 20. It’s their first since Lost and Safe in 2005, following a period where members Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong took a break to focus on other endeavors. In a Boston Globe story, Zammuto described the sound of the new album as “You’re getting verrry sleepy,” which sounds very mixtape-ready. Listen to “Beautiful People” off the album–it sounds like, well, a song by the Books (music journalism!). Get excited/sleepy! [Pitchfork]
