It's been nine whole months since The Black Keys kick into the mainstream, El Camino, dropped, and the rock duo are already back in the studio to begin its eigth album.
According to Rolling Stone, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney spent a week in the studio back in July, time spent sandwiched between a slew of tour dates. Though Auerbach admitted it wasn't the most focused session, the two-piece was able to flesh out some ideas and get the ball rolling. They plan to regroup in early 2013 to officially start recording, and if all goes as planned, they plan to finish before March, though extensive touring may hinder that.
