The Beatles Sold 2 Million Tracks In First Week On iTunes

We already know that “Hey Jude” has proven to be one of the most popular songs by The Beatles in the iTunes store since the band’s catalog was added to it last week. Now, further sales figures have been released, with Billboard claiming that 450,000 albums have been sold and more than two million individual tracks have been downloaded.

Abbey Road is the most popular album, which seems surprising, although its succes has been propelled by a desire by people to download “Here Comes the Sun,” which is one of the biggest selling individual tracks. The Fab Four mania is not going to end here—Billboard is expecting a further promotional push for The Beatles during Black Friday later this week.
