Tha Carter 3 to be released on May 13

Update: The latest release date for Tha Carter III is  June 10, 2008. 

 

Given the recent release of the first single "Lollipop," featuring Static and produced by Jim Jonsin, off Tha Carter III it comes as no surprise that a new release date has been given for the next Lil Wayne album.

 

Tha Carter III is now set for a May 13 release on Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Motown. It'll be tough to follow-up the platinum selling Tha Carter II, although Wayne's status with numerous guest spots has only grown since that album's 2005 release. Rumored guests on the album include Birdman, Jay-Z, The Game, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, David Banner, Timbaland and Busta Rhymes.

Wayne is flash nothing more, his rhymes are shallow, meaning he's says a lot of stuff that sounds good but means nothing. Wayne's style is so elementary his style is basically two words that semi-rhyme and filler, here I'll write one now.
"I'm high like a tweeter/ But I'm off the meter/ I find the hot b****es and turn'm on like computer speakers/ You are the student/ Lil Wayne's the teacher/ Even if I fail, lil nigga I'm still the teacher" somebody lie and tell me that doesn't sound like something Wayne would say.
I agree those who think lil wayne is the greatest rapper alive, really knows nothing about hip-hop. Wayne will never see diamond, never(well maybe in 20 years). Why would anybody think that he would reach diamond status, he's had only what? One album that went platinum.
40 something mixtapes a month(exaggeration) doesn't not make up for wackness, in no way. Lil Wayne's only positive points are his popularity and the fact that he's better than he used to be, point blank.
And for the sake of starting an argument I'll be downloading the album for distribution purposes
