With so many terrible songs from so many great albums to select from, MSNBC.com’s Marc Hirsh managed to narrow it down to five. Topping the list, was "The Long and Winding Road" from the Beatles’ Let it Be, athough Hirsh praises the stripped-down version from the Fab Four’s Anthology outtakes. While some might argue that both volumes of Guns N' Roses’ Use Your Illusion were made up of filler, "My World" from volume two was singled out as the bad apple. Originally a hidden track on the first 50,000 copies, "Endless, Nameless" was pegged as ruining subsequent reissues of Nirvana’s Nevermind. The Police’s,"Mother" is the clunker from Synchronicity. And finally, "EXP" tarnishes The Jimi Hendrix Experiences’ Axis: Bold as Love’s masterpiece status. Guess there were no great albums made after 1991. Or is it that those great albums have no terrible songs? [MSNBC]
Was "The Long and Winding Road" actually a bad song or was it just overproduced to death?
"Birthday," the White Album. Also "Back in the U.S.S.R." And "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da."

it's only good if prince is singing it.

I think Hirsh thought that it was overproduced. I don't care, it still kills me when I hear it.
"Endless, Nameless" was actually NOT included on the first 50,000 copies of Nevermind, and was a hidden track on subsequent pressings.
Slight Correction
I agree with bwall, "Birthday" is the worst. It makes me cringe just thinking about it.
Also "Sloop John B" from Pet Sounds.

I think Endless, Nameless is actually a pretty great song... that track was a natural transition into their rougher (and better) sound found on In Utero..
