Ted Leo found life after Lookout! Records folded when he signed to Touch & Go, who put out his last album, Living with the Living. But now that Touch & Go has effectively closed its doors (to new releases anyway), the head Pharmacist has moved on to the next powerhouse indie label available. Matador has welcomed Ted Leo as part of their roster, and while there's no news of a new record for them to put out just yet, it's comforting to see a guy who put out a classic album like Hearts of Oak once again landing on a label with a great history of its own.
I guess this is not the bombshell that the announcement of those Pavement shows was, but it terms of Matador-related news, it's gotta be a (perhaps distant) second, doesn't it? [Pitchfork]
