Taylor Swift's 'Speak Now' Worst Number One Record Of All Time

A new year, a new lowest selling number one album of all time (at least since 1991): Taylor Swift's Speak Now tops the charts this week with a paltry sum of 52,000 copies sold. That's lower than the worst week ever: Jan. 27, 2007, when the Dreamgirls soundtrack was the number one album in the country. Apparently things are about to get much worse, though: There's no blockbuster album slated for release pretty much this entire quarter. Expect bands like the Decemberists to gatecrash hard these next few weeks (months?). [Billboard]

It was a weak week in terms of major releases though.
