Taylor Swift tops album charts despite only moving 72,000 units

Taylor Swift’s sophomore album, Fearless, is, for the sixth week, the number one album in the country, becoming the first album since 50 Cent’s 2005 album, The Massacre, to accomplish that feat. However, Swift won the top spot by moving only 72,000 units, a very small sum considering her albums sales went down by 20 percent this week.

Nickelback’s terrible Dark Horse is number two with 53,000 units sold, and Kanye West’s 808’s And Heartbreak stayed at number three with 50,000 units sold. [Billboard]
