Country songstress Taylor Swift has scored the number one spot on the Billboard album charts as her sophomore album, Fearless, moved 592,000 copies last week, making it the biggest selling country album since the Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden last year.
Meanwhile, last week’s number one, the soundtrack to Twilight, moved only 107,000 copies, down 35% and to number five. The rest of the top five is rounded out by David Archuleta’s self-titled debut (183,000 copies), Now That’s What I Call Music (172,000 copies), and T-Pain’s Thr33 Rings (167,000 copies). [Billboard]
