Taiwan creating clone Apple phone army

via Digital Music News
The Apple phone shaved a couple points off its vaporware index, with reports that a Taiwanese contractor has fessed up to producing 12 million handsets for Apple. These invaders are theorized to reach shores sometime in the first half of 2007.
Features specifications are slim for the iPhone, though AppleInsider claims a 2MP camera will be stock. Other rampant speculation includes the notion that the phones will be unlocked, allowing users to use them on the phone network of their choice. To add to the wispy thread of wishful thinking, I can only imagine the phone will have Bluetooth because, well, what kind of crappy phone doesn't have Bluetooth? As soon as Steve Jobs returns our call we'll let you know if that Bluetooth is strictly for headsets or includes stereo support.

It'd be nice to have one compact device that could replace my phone, digital camera and mp3 player, but these all in one devices usually suck.

Do they know yet if this will effectively replace the need for girlfriends, international diplomacy, and the HPV vaccine? I hear it will also get jim and pam on the office together.

I had to restrain myself from buying the new Motorola Blackjack - the thinner than the Q smartphone. Pop a 2 Gig memory card in there and you've got a nice smartphone / flash player with PlaysForSure and Bluetooth. As for the rest, if it can play video, you got porn, so that takes care of the girlfriend and is at least an HPV preventative. And Pam just needs to get a damn backbone already!
