South By Southwest has announced the 1,600 or so bands for the annual booze and schmooze event that takes over Austin for the hippest -- 92 bands/artists from Brooklyn-- and at the same time lamest -- you'll only be able to actually see like two of em perform -- musical festival out there. Plus, is there anything worse than seeing your favorite band among a sea of rock writers and industry types, name-dropping and one-upping like they're important?
