Huge SXSW list released
The Austinist went to the trouble of combining a bunch of press releases, Myspace confirmations and news stories from a handful of blogs to create this massive list of 240 bands confirmed to play at this year's festival. Some of the bigger names on the list include Morrissey, Interpol, Bloc Party and the Walkmen. Other great acts that have confirmed include Wooden Wand, Menomena, Okkervil River and many, many more. [...] Well, it’s about time. The SXSW festival website has finally been updated with a list of the bands that are set to appear. Thing is, most of this is old news since, as previously reported, the Austinist has been working overtime checking press releases and MySpace pages to build their own list of confirmed bands. While you won’t see too many big names you didn’t already know were set to appear, you can check out all 1300 confirmed acts for the fiestival by clicking here.
