Swervedriver added to Coachella line-up

An unholy mixture of metal, shoegaze, and indie-rock will clatter across the desert skies at the end of the month as Swervedriver becomes the latest group to join the ever-expanding Coachella line-up. Singer Adam Franklin has been focusing on his solo career and a collaboration with Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino (named Magnetic Morning) since the wheels fell off the Swervedriver juggernaut back in ’99. But desert-bound festival goers will be able to catch a glimpse of Franklin’s first love as he revs up the Swervedriver engine and presents an exclusive desert preview of the band’s upcoming May/June tour.

Although the band has only practiced once since getting back together, Franklin claims they sound “more punk rock and unhinged than ever before," which should bode well for fans longing to choke on the exhaust fumes of past classics such as “Son of Mustang Ford” and “Duel.” Full tour dates below:
