Surfer Blood Covers Pavement's "Box Elder"

With yet another loving homage to Pavement, Surfer Blood has knelt at the imaginary musical shrine to the lo-fi gods of 90's indie alt-rock and bad fashion with a cover of Stephen Malkmus and company's "Box Elder." Recorded at the Grand Rapids-based Halfway House Music, the session also includes an unreleased song called "I'm Not Ready," along with footage of three tracks off their debut LP which can be watched and listened to on their site.

Thus far, there has been no reaction from Pavement. Of course, isn't verbal silence always the way of such supreme musical beings.
