Superchunk Reissuing Two Early Classics

This September will see the release of the first new Superchunk album in nearly ten years. In an effort to remind us just why this is a huge, huge deal, Merge (aka the label Superchunk runs) will be reissuing remastered versions of two early ’90s ‘Chunk classics, No Pocky For Kitty and On the Mouth. Both are supercharged relics from a time when Chapel Hill, North Carolina–not Williamsburg, Brooklyn–was America’s indie rock mecca. They’ll be available on CD, LP, and digital download (what, no cassette?) come August 17, and you can stream both of them now over at Merge.
