Emo O.G.s Sunny Day Real Estate have announced that they will be reuniting for a few dates later this year. The band, led by Jeremy Enigk, broke up in 1995, toured again from 1997-2001, and have been apart since. The reunion will be the first time that original bassist Nate Mendel will be back in the fold, since his other band, Foo Fighters, are on hiatus.
There are only two shows scheduled thus far: October 13 at The Fillmore in San Francisco and October 16 at the Paramount in Seattle, the band’s hometown. Expect more dates to be announced soon. [AV Club]
