Suge Knight Suing Kanye West Over Party Shooting

Suge Knight was shot in the leg five years ago while attending a party hosted by Kanye West in Miami, and now he’s seeking a serious payday to compensate for his troubles. Knight wants more than $1 million from West for the incident, and has begun legal action in an attempt to gain the cash.

"He's an icon in the music industry. He walks in a room and he lights it up,” said Knight’s lawyer Marc Brumer, who is claiming damages for his client’s medical bills and for loss of a diamond earring. "He had an expectation of security there. How someone came with a gun into a very VIP party, that just doesn't meet the smell test in life."

And with that statement, Brumer made sure that the best thing that can come out of this case is the words “the smell test in life” entering the common parlance. Make it happen, people. The trial isn’t set to begin until Dec. 6 in Miami, so West has a long ass wait until he discovers his fate.
