So it turns out that Amazon's pricing structure has maybe helped another indie artist gatecrash the Billboard 200: Sufjan Stevens, has hit number eight on Billboard, selling slightly close to 33,000 copies of The Age of Adz. It wasn't as good a showing as Arcade Fire, but it's pretty huge; who would have thought that the idiosyncratic electronic album from a indie folker would be Billboard fodder.
In other chart news, the early digital release of Lil Wayne's I'm Not a Human Being didn't hurt his sales too much--he still hit number one, selling around 130,000 copies of the album.
Goooo Suf!!!
