Sufjan Stevens continues Christmas recording tradition

The reformed Grinch probably loves Christmas more than anybody, but Sufjan Stevens has to be a close second. The folk hero recently completed the eighth volume of his Songs for Christmas series. This installment bears the unwieldly subtitle of Astral Inter Planet Space Captain Infinity Voyage and contains traditonal songs such as "Do You See What I See?," "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," as well the original compositions "Christmas in the Room" and "The Child With the Star on His Head." There are no immediate plans to release the collection at this time, but Asthmatic Kitty is taking some of the sting away by offering a wide variety of Christmas-themed fun at their website.
