Sufjan Stevens is all about surprising the shit out of everyone these days: First he rush-released that EP last week, and today he announces that a new album, titled The Age of Adz, is due out on Oct. 12. Just so you're aware, "adz" is apparently pronounced "odds," so just in case you start talking about it with a cooler person, know how to pronounce it right. The album is also not a continuation of Stevens' state project, instead sharing themes with that EP. Go here for more info.
Here's the track list:
01 Futile Devices
02 Too Much
03 Age of Adz
04 I Walked
05 Now That I'm Older
06 Get Real Get Right
07 Bad Communication
08 Vesuvius
09 All for Myself
10 I Want To Be Well
11 Impossible Soul

Nice, always excited for more from this guy. I'm digging that EP. How's everyone else liking it?
pretty amazing stuff. I love the fact that I can listen to the original and classic rock versions of that track in sequence and not sense an inkling of repetition.
