What happens when singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Quinn Walker, who released the double album Laughter's an Asshole/Lionland last year on CocoRosie's Voodoo-Eros label, teams up with three similarly multi-talented gents and things start getting bandy? You'll soon discover the answer, when Brooklyn's own Suckers release their eponymous debut EP, set to hit the streets on April 14 via the IAMSOUND label.
The band, which will be playing a string of NY shows in the weeks to come, leading up to an appearance at SXSW, embraces an open-hearted sound that should appeal to fans of some of the friends they've opened for, like Yeasayer, MGMT, and Dragons of Zynth. The EP was produced by Yeasayer's Anand Wilder, and promises a multitude of tonal colors to tickle indie-pop-loving ears.
