Sublime Stitching Marries Rock'n Roll with Daniel Johnston Embroidery

Hi, how are you? Sublime Stitching joins the grandmotherly craft of stitching to outsider indie rock with new embroidery patterns of Daniel Johnston’s drawings. One sheet, which goes for $5.00, includes patterns of a devil, a baby, the signature amphibious alien (made iconic by Kurt Cobain, who wore it on a t-shirt), and the scrawled Hi, how are you that somehow encapsulates Johnston’s endearingly awkward outsider personality. Based out of Austin like the musician himself, Sublime Sticking also makes good on its slogan—This ain’t your gramma’s embroidery!—with such themes as Roller Derby, Vital Organs and Tattoo Alphabet.
