Sub Pop Signs Washed Out, Releases Debut Album
Sun-dazed Georgian bedroom-producer (and chillwave originator) Ernest Greene, a.k.a. Washed Out, has signed to Sub Pop and is prepping his debut full-length, entitled Within and Without. This comes after two mighty fine EPs in Life of Leisure and High Times, and is produced by Ben Allen, someone whose pedigree includes Merriweather Post Pavilion, Halcyon Digest, and St. Elsewhere. The record is due out July 12, right in the heart of summer, which makes perfect sense for a Washed Out album – take a gander at the 9-song track list below. I suppose now is the time where we start wondering if Greene will ever make a song better than "Feel it All Around."

At first glance, I thought this headline indicated that the signs in front of Sub Pop's HQ had been washed away in some sort of deluge. I am happy to hear this is not the case.
