Sub Pop Signs THEESatisfaction

It looks like Shabazz Palaces -- they of the nearly perfect Black Up -- aren't the only left-field, Seattle-based hip-hop outfit to find a home on Sub Pop. The label announced today that they have signed the self-described “lo-fi rebel hip-hop” duo of THEESatisfaction. Made up of Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White, THEESatisfaction has released five EPs to date and, as some of you might know, appeared on the aforementioned Black Up album. They're apparently putting together their full-length debut right now for an early 2012 release. And if you happen to be in the area, they are headlining the Vera Project stage at the Capitol Hill Block Party today in Seattle.

You can stream and download "Do You Have Time" -- a hypnotic, boom bap-heavy joint filled with sharp bars -- below.
