Sub Pop is throwing a party to celebrate its twenty years of successful operation. The label will gather acts from throughout its history for a two-day festival at Seattle’s Marymoor Park on July 12 and 13. Confirmed performers include Iron and Wine, noisy locals Mudhoney, and Kiwi comedians Flight of the Conchords. Perhaps the most intriguing act scheduled is a reunion of Green River, arguably the first grunge band. In addition, the following acts have been announced: Beachwood Sparks, Comets on Fire, Fleet Foxes, The Fluid, Foals, Grand Archives, The Helio Sequence, Kinski, Low, No Age, Pissed Jeans, Red Red Meat, The Ruby Suns, Seaweed and Wolf Parade. Tickets for the festival go on sale April 26 at the Sub Pop website and that large ticket outlet. Early discount tickets will cost $30 for a one-day pass and $50 for two days, with the price jumping five dollars per day after May 10.
