Although Factory Records is now inextricably linked with the rise and ultimate demise of post-punk pioneers Joy Division, in the beginning they were more given to house and dance music. Strut Records, known for their expansive reissues, will place the focus on these early 12-inch mixes and rarities for its upcoming compilation, FAC. DANCE. Featuring music recorded between 1980-1987, the collection places an emphasis on littler-known artists such as Quando Quango and 52 Street. The collection was compiled and annotated by Bill Brewster of djhistory.com, and it will be available as a 2xCD or 2xLP from Oct. 11. Track list is below.
