Following 2010’s What Lasts, the Brooklyn/Carrboro, NC/Denver-based quintet These United States are debuting their self-titled fifth album this Tuesday via United Interests. And as a sneak peek, the band has made the record available to stream ahead of the drop date. Featuring Deer Tick’s John McCauley, Langhorne Slim’s David Moore, and Phosphorescent’s Matthew Houck, among others, the album is 12 tracks in length and rife with sturdy melodies based in warm, layered countrified rock grooves, with touches of psychedelia thrown in for good measure. Stream the record below, and if you’re near New Haven, Connecticut, watch for These United States next week alongside Willie Nelson.
