If you've been able to resist the urge to grab one of the multiple leaks floating around the net right now (and if so, I applaud you), here's your reward: The New York Times has a high-quality stream of the National's excellent High Violet right here, right now. The stream is accompanied by an excellent profile of the band, which makes for a total immersion scenario into the National. Look out for High Violet, which is set for release on May 11, later this year, when it hits top ten lists like crazy.
These guys can not make a bad song. Another great album.
Co-signed. Album is fantastic.
The Times story is called "The National Agenda." Muhahaha! Album is perfect.
it's very good. i'm going to resist any urge to compare it to past albums right now
definitely agree with daba, I can't think of a wasteful national track, each album is just so damn tight...
i skip a few off their self-titled album but it's true that they have honed their craft to the point that they know how to make any song good. a lot of classical training in the band
